The Vancouver Board of Education is a dynamic, urban School District with many opportunities for teachers.
In order to meet the specific needs of our students, various programs have been established including:
- K - 7, 8 - 12 Regular Programs
- K - 7, 8 - 12 French Immersion Programs
- 4 - 7 Mandarin Bilingual Program
- K - 7, 8 - 10 Montessori Program
- A number of alternate programs at the secondary school level
Before you can be considered for a teaching position in British Columbia, you must hold a current B.C. Teaching Certificate and be a member of the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch. For information please contact:

Remember, you will not be considered for a teaching position, or for a position on the Employee On-Call list with Vancouver Board of Education until you have been issued your British Columbia Teacher's Certificate or a letter of eligibility.

Once you have your British Columbia Teacher's Certificate, you may apply to the Vancouver Board of Education two ways:
- You may apply directly to teaching positions.
or - You may apply to be on our Employee On-Call list.
