CLICK Tug-a-War a Big Success

This month, CLICK (Contributing to Lives of Inner City Kids) and the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) launched Vancouver's 8th Annual Inner City Kids Week. The week went from May 14 - 18, 2012 and was designed to raise awareness and funding for a wide range of programs supporting children who live in poverty in the city.

The kick-off event for Annual Inner City Kids Week included the highly anticipated annual Pulling for Inner City Kids tug-of-war competition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Teaming up with their VPD School Liaison Officers, close to 100 high school students from across the city participated in a hard-fought, down-in-the-dirt tug-of-war contest.

Taiko drumming was provided by Seymour Elementary School students.

In the end, it was Britannia Secondary that rose to the top besting King George Secondary in the final tug-a-war.
