Macdonald Elementary Fights Graffiti with Butterflies

Macdonald School, home of the Aboriginal Focus School, had a retaining wall which had become a place of horrific graffiti. The solution to this problem, as it turned out, was butterflies. For over a week, elementary students at Macdonald worked on a transformation mural project inspired by butterflies growing in several of the school's classrooms.

During the project, students were mentored by Community Artists throughout the school day. Some of the most enthusiastic school artists were Grade 4 Angela Ned and Grade 5 student Lyle Price.
