Tecumseh Grade 6 Students Walk for Water
After a year of hard work studying global water issues in their social studies class, a Tecumseh class of Grade 6 students decided to take their message to the street in the school's first ever "Walk for Water". The walk took the class from Tecumseh Elementary to Trout Lake Park an back (approximately 6 kilometers).
Early Wednesday morning, the students set off equipped with signs and carrying four litre milk jugs filled with water (to simulate the daily duties of many children their age in drought stricken countries). The students' goal was to raise awareness and money for water related projects in the developing world.
