Churchill Clubs Day Showcases School's Diversity
Last Wednesday, hundreds of Churchill students jammed the school's courtyard to partake in Clubs Day. It was a virtual smorgasbord of club opportunities with students manning booths devoted to topics ranging from movies to biology, from athletics to humanitarian initiatives. The entire event was awash in music from the fast-paced beats of the Churchill's own DJ and the peppy brass of the school band.
Clubs Day is an annual event for the district's second largest secondary school. Over two dozen booths were hawking their membership during the 45 minute long lunchtime event. Part of its popularity among the student body is attributed to the diversity of the club offerings - that and the opportunity to easily plug into the school's thriving community.
