Britannia Entrepreneurship Students Donate $1,000 to Aboriginal Focus School
Students in the Martin Aboriginal Education Initiative's Entrepreurship 11/12 class at Britannia Secondary proudly presented a $1,000 cheque to students at MacDonald Elementary recently. The funds will be used to purchase sports equipment for the Aboriginal Focus School, which will be shared by all of MacDonald's students.
Britannia Secondary's Entrepreneurship 11/12 students' business, B-Cuz Calendars, created and sold calendars featuring Indigenous Education and Culture. The secondary students pledged to donate 50 percent of their profits from the business to help Aboriginal children in East Vancouver. This was the students' second donation this year; the first being Vancouver Aborignal Friendship Centre's Children's Christmas Party.
