Alternative Students Swamp Burnaby Bowling Alley
On a rainy fall day, over 150 students from 10 different alternative programs spread across Vancouver headed out to Rev's Bowling Centre in Burnaby to compete in the First Annual Alternative Schools Bowling Tournament. After several hours of knocking pins right, left and centre, the students got a chance to dine on pizza before piling into busses and vans to head back to school.
The outing was great for team building and also a great break from the day-to-day learning that happens in all the alternative programs.
Despite fierce competition, Streetfront Alternative program managed to come out on top, winning the Ron Bergeron trophy to take back with them to their home near Britannia Secondary.
