Prince of Wales Lunar New Year Features Delicious Asian Food Smorgasbord
Lunar New Year was celebrated with some incredible food prepared by the school's PAC and lyrical rock tunes composed by Prince of Wales Secondary students.
The event included a range of traditional and contemporary displays by PW students including Jangochun (traditional Korean dance), Taekwondo, Minyo (traditional Korean singing), K-Pop Dance and Chinese and Korean rock bands.
Meanwhile hundreds of students and staff lines up to dive into a veritable smorgasbord of Asian treats ranging from Korean rice cakes and sushi rolls to shrimp spring rolls and pork dumplings. All of the food was served by traditionally dressed parents who stood out with bright and colourful dresses.
Prince of Wales Principal Jim Burnham says a big thanks needs to go out to the school's parents who raised all the money for the Lunar New Year celebration and organized the massive buffet.
