Tupper Music Awarded $10,000 from MusiCounts Canada

Tupper Music has been awarded a 2014 Grant from MusiCounts Canada worth $10,000. The massive grant will allow Tupper Music to buy much needed new equipment and replace old outdated instruments.

"This helps us move along a huge step towards our long term goal of providing high-quality instruments to every student enrolled in our program," said Tupper music teacher Michael Cavaletto. "Thank you MusiCounts, and thank you to the Tupper Music Parent's Association, music students and community support for all the work involved in the application process!"

MusiCounts is Canada's music education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). Cavaletto says it is helping to keep music alive in schools across Canada. MusiCounts' mission is to ensure that children in Canada, regardless of socio-economic circumstances or cultural background, have access to a music program through their school.
