Selkirk Students, Families, and Staff Donate over Twenty Five Boxes of Food to the Food Bank
The Selkirk Inner City Team joined with other Selkirk staff and students in promoting donations to the Vancouver Food Bank. Through collaboration and spreading the word, the students, their families, and Selkirk staff procured hundreds of items - resulting in over twenty five boxes full of food.

"The food drive was successful because of the spirit and caring nature of the Selkirk community," Whaley said.
Students and staff were busy for several weeks organizing, promoting, collecting, and boxing up the donations.
"As a school community, we hope that we can help others in our neighbourhood and throughout the city," said Doug Roch, Selkirk Vice Principal. "It is inspiring to be a part of the teamwork and community spirit of care that goes into such an event and to partner with the community agencies around us".
