VSB Marches for Reconciliation

On Sunday, September 22, over 70 000 people braved the pouring rain in Vancouver to take part in a reconciliation walk marking the sad history of residential schools in Canada.

Many Vancouver School Board (VSB) staff and administrators participated in the march including Chairperson Patti Bacchus, Superintendent Steve Cardwell and District Principal for Aboriginal Education Don Fiddler.

The VSB contingent carried a large banner with a distinct aboriginal logo design by artist Susan Point.
