VSB Board Unanimously Says YES to Better Transit
This Monday evening the Vancouver Board of Education voted unanimously to support the YES side of the upcoming Transit Referendum.
The Board supported the proposed transportation and transit plan as certain components are expected to significantly improve transportation within the City boundary, as well as connections to and from the City.
According to VSB staff, transportation benefits would be most likely felt by secondary students, specific commuting groups or in areas of the City where increased infrastructure is implemented.
Many VSB staff also live outside the City and commute from across the region. These staff are also expected to benefit from improvements to region-wide transportation infrastructure.
