The City of Vancouver has notified Vancouver School Board that a water main on the grounds of King George Secondary on Barclay Street had to be shut off due to an apparent leak. This means the water supply to King George Secondary, including sprinklers, washrooms and heat, has had to be shut off. VSB has crews assessing the situation and working to fix the problem.

Since it is unlikely to be repaired before the start of school Monday, the District has decided to close King George Secondary for the day while the water problem is worked on.
