VSB announces new Secretary-Treasurer
Vancouver School Board is pleased to announce that J. David Green has accepted the position of Secretary-Treasurer with the district, and will begin that role on September 1, 2017.
David Green brings more than 30 years business experience to the role of Secretary-Treasurer. He comes to VSB directly from the Langley School District where he has served as Secretary-Treasurer since 2010. Before that, he was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District for eight years. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a CA designation. He served as president of the British Columbia Association of School Business Officials for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years. David continues to provide support for the Association as its representative on the BCPSEA/Government Advisory Committee and as chairperson of the leadership committee. Prior to his 15 years in the B.C. public education system, Green worked in the private sector in Newfoundland.
"We are delighted that David Green will be joining the VSB this fall, and want to thank Interim Secretary Treasurer Guy Bonnefoy for his service to our district," said Dianne Turner, official trustee.
