Dear Incoming Grade 8s and Families,

We hope that you had an amazing last year of elementary school and that you are looking forward to coming to Eric Hamber in September, we are looking forward to having you in our new school. We would like to provide some important information, please take some time to review the following items below.

GRADE 8 ORIENTATION
Date: Wednesday, August 28, 2024
Time: 11:00 AM to 12: 30 PM
In the new school at 960 West 33rd Avenue

This event is optional, and the purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from elementary school to high school a positive experience. The event will involve group activities designed to address students’ needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner. Students should bring water and may also bring a snack. Material covered during this orientation will also be covered during the first week of school.

PARENT ORIENTATION
Also, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Eric Hamber Secondary administration, PAC, and community partners will be hosting a parent orientation for our grade 8 parents. The event is optional, and all the information provided during the event will also be published on our website.

Students will be dismissed from the school and parents are welcome to pick up their grade 8 child(ren) at 12:30 PM outside the front entrance.
