Canley Cup
The Student Council’s annual fundraiser Canley Cup is back from November 27th to December 13th! With the current rise of prices due to inflation, essentials have become much more expensive. Because of this, there has been an influx of those who rely on the food bank. The Canley Cup is our way of giving back to the local food banks this holiday season.
Every $1 equals 3 cans! This year, we hope to raise 30,000 cans by December 13th. If everyone at Churchill donated at least $5, we would reach our goal!
We are asking for:
- Non-perishable goods
- Canned salmon / other fish
- Boxed Dried Pasta
- Hearty Soups & Stews (Beans)
- Monetary Donations
- We encourage you to donate money instead of non-perishables, as this will allow the Food Bank to buy healthier options in bulk.
There are two ways to donate:
- In-class donations
- We will be providing boxes and envelopes to each teacher with a 1-4 class (3rd block, after-lunch)

Where will your donation go?
All monetary donations will go to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, and non-perishables will be delivered to the local Marpole Community Food Hub. Each week, we will keep track of each class. The class with the most cans at the end of the Canley Cup, will win a free pizza party, as a thank you from StuCo!
