The Vancouver School Board is partnered with the Trowel Trades Training Association to offer the SkilledTradesBC Youth and TRAIN in Trades Bricklayer program.

Program Details   

The program is taught at the Trowel Trades Training Association in Surrey. Classes are held Monday to Friday at various times of year. Seats in this program can only be reserved by Career Programs once a student's application is received.

The School District covers the cost of tuition. However, students will be responsible for purchasing their own program learning resources and safety equipment.  

Please note that students must be in grades 10 or 11 to apply for Youth TRAIN in Trades programs. Grade 12 students may apply for Youth TRAIN in Trades only if they can complete their program before they finish grade 12.

Course Content

Bricklayers build the sturdy and beautiful masonry that has made up our homes and buildings for centuries. They are tradespeople who enjoy the physical challenge of their job, as well as the artistry.
