Before School 

Classes line up outside of their emergency exits or in their designated location (Primary or Intermediate Undercover Areas or along Nanaimo Street).   

Recess 

Recess snacks will be eaten in the classrooms under the supervision of the classroom teachers, either before or after the outside recess playtime.  Students should dress appropriately for the weather conditions, as they will be outside during break times to exercise and get some fresh air.     

Lunch 

Some classes will use the multi-purpose room to eat lunch under the supervision of staff. For others, lunch will be eaten in the classrooms during the lunch (12:05-12:20), before the lunch playtime.  Students should dress appropriately for the weather conditions, as they will be outside during break times. Children going home for lunch must sign out and back in at the office.   

Dismissal 

Students will all be dismissed from their emergency exits or to their designated location (Primary or Intermediate Undercover Areas or along Nanaimo Street).   

Parents Accessing the School Building 

Unless parents have a pre-organized meeting with their child’s teachers, they must check in at the office. Parent meetings during the day are by appointment only. Parents must sign-in as visitors at the office first.
