Students at Sir James Douglas Elementary have a variety of opportunities for extra-curricular activities. These activities are coached and sponsored by staff members or parents who generously volunteer their time.

Extra-curricular activities can include:

• Cross-country running
• Soccer
• Volleyball
• Basketball
• Track and Field

Our Community Schools Team offers a range of after school programs each term. The program offerings are published in a brochure that is sent home. There is a small fee for each of these programs but no child will be denied the opportunity to join the after school program due to financial challenges.
