Before and After School Supervision

Please note that we have staff supervising starting at 8:40 before school and from 3:00 to 3:20 after-school.  Please do not bring your child to school earlier unless there has been a prior arrangement with your child’s teacher, or they have a special school commitment.  We are asking that all students wait for the bell at the back of the school not at the front.  Thank you for your support with this.

Staff supervision ends at 3:20 pm. If you are going to be late, please call the school. If it is after staff supervision time, your child will be asked to wait in the office. Please note after 3:20 pm it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to supervise their child/ren if remaining on the school grounds to play on the playground, etc. 

Bicycles, Skateboards, Scooters, “Wheelie Shoes”

Students and adults are encouraged to travel safely to and from school in an active way.  Appropriate safety equipment (helmets!) should be used and bicycles should be locked securely.  Parents and students who ride bikes to school are reminded that they are expected to lock their bikes in the designated area.  Students are not to ride or play near the bikes during school hours. 

For safety, when on school grounds, which includes the sidewalks surrounding the school, during the times between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm students and adults are always asked to dismount and walk their bikes, skateboards and scooters.  Bikes, skateboards, scooters must be put away and not used until it is time to return home.  This rule also applies if there is an evening school event.  Bikes, skateboard, scooters and wheeled shoes are not to be used during school hours as they pose a safety concern to students and adults.
