Arbutus Kids World is an independent organization, not affiliated with the Vancouver School Board, providing childcare to the McKechnie and Maple Grove school communities.

Outside of school time programs

Independent companies offer specialty outside of school time programs at McKechnie with the approval of the Principal. Independent programs are not supervised by school staff and it is up to parents to determine whether these programs are suitable for their children.  These programs charge a fee for student participation.

• Mad Science K-7 
• Young Rembrandts Art Program
• Vancouver Chess Club
• Lights Up! Musical Theatre
• Daedalos Robotics Program
• Red Cross First Aid Babysitting course (Fall Pro D day)
• Band Program for Gr. 5-7 (before school program)
