Admissions
Admission to the International Education Program is by invitation and based on the applicant’s academic achievement, educational background, current academic standing, and the availability of space in the program and at the requested school.
Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible, as space in the program is limited.
Application Requirements
- Completed online application
- Official transcripts or school records for the current year and the previous two years, in English (original or certified copies)
- Immunization record with English translation
- Elective Course Requests form (secondary students only) - download from the application portal
- Participation agreement - download from the application portal
- Non-refundable application fee of CDN$400.00
- Elementary students who will reside with a direct relative must provide documentation demonstrating that the caregiving arrangement complies with Vancouver School Board policy.
Required documents must be submitted as PDF files and less than 15MB each. Incomplete applications will not be processed and may be returned for revision. To begin your application, please click here.

Elementary School (applicants born between 2015 and 2022; Kindergarten to Grade 7)
The Vancouver School Board is not yet accepting applications from elementary-aged international students for September 2027 enrolment. Please email intered@vsb.bc.ca in January 2027 for updates on application opening dates.
