Kitsilano Secondary

The Vancouver School Board (VSB) is one of the most diverse public school districts in Canada, serving approximately 50,000 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12, as well as adult learners. The district operates 18 secondary schools and 87 elementary schools, including 10 annexes.

VSB is committed to providing high-quality educational experiences that support student success, well-being, and belonging. Students learn in safe, inclusive, and welcoming school communities that encourage academic achievement, personal growth, and global citizenship.

We offer a wide range of programs and learning opportunities for students at the elementary, secondary, and adult education levels, as well as summer learning options.

Elementary School (Kindergarten - Grade 7)

Elementary schools serve students from ages 5 to 12 and provide a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. Schools follow a full-year learning model that supports continuous growth and development.

Important: International students under the age of 13 must live with a parent or immediate family member in accordance with Vancouver School Board policy.

Secondary Schools (Grades 8 - 12)

Secondary schools serve students from ages 13 to 17 and follow a semester system. Students can choose from a broad range of academic courses, electives, extracurricular activities, and specialized programs that prepare them for post-secondary education and future careers.

Adult Education

Adult Education programs provide opportunities to complete graduation requirements and upgrade academic courses. Flexible learning options support students in achieving their educational, personal, and career goals. Students in adult education are generally 18 years of age and older.
