Graduation Assessments

Graduation assessments are changing to align to BC's re-designed curriculum. Students in the B.C. Graduation Program will be required to complete 3 provincial assessments focusing on literacy and numeracy.

Graduation Numeracy Assessments

The Graduation Numeracy Assessment is a provincial assessment that is written in Grade 10 and is a requirement for Graduation. The assessment is based on numeracy concepts that is learned in all subjects areas in the K-9 grade years. The assessment is delivered online and is composed of: 

  • 24 computer scored questions
  • 2 written response questions competed on paper
  • Self-reflection component

This June, all grade 10 JO students will be writing the assessment between June 21 and June 27th. Any grade 11 or 12 students who have not written the assessment will also be required to write the assessment during this time period.

Please have students arrive 15 minutes before the start of the assessment with:

  • ID (Go Card or any other ID) 
  •  Pen and/or Pencil
  • Calculator optional (calculator is provided in the online component of the assessment)
