Courses taught by VSB teachers:

Having a great teacher makes a difference. All VLN courses are taught by qualified Vancouver School Board (VSB) teachers, who are available to support students throughout their learning.

Courses approved by BC Ministry of Education:

As a VSB school, VLN courses can be used toward a British Columbia Dogwood or Adult Graduation Certificate. Coursework is based on the BC curriculum and is assessed by VSB teachers.

VLN offers both elementary and secondary school programs, with more than 90 secondary-level courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

How do I retake a course?

If you completed a VLN course and received a final mark:

 You may register to take the course again immediately to improve your mark.

If you withdrew from a VLN course before completing it:

 You must wait at least 9 months from the date you originally started the course before registering for the same course again.

To request a course repeat, complete the Course Repeat Form and email it to VLN@vsb.bc.ca
