Introduction
Students in this year-long Japanese course will begin their language learning journey by understanding language as a system for communication. This course offers a comprehensive foundation to the study of Japanese. While students learn two phonetic systems, basic vocabulary and sentence structure, they will explore how language is used in stories.
Where does this course fit?
- Prerequisites: None
- Graduation Status: Elective for graduation
- Japanese 11 and Japanese 12 can be taken sequentially (and are offered through VLN) upon successful completion of the previous course.
Course Materials
- All reading materials will be provided online.
- Flashcards for Vocabulary review will be given via links to Quizlet.
- You must have access to a computer.
