NEW to the VSB?

If you are a family new to the VSB you MUST APPLY ONLINE TO YOUR CATCHMENT SCHOOL before submitting a cross boundary application. We cannot accept your application until you have applied at your catchment school. 

Cross boundary applications are completed ONLINE. The window to apply cross-boundary will be open from the first school day in February to the last school day in February.  

Schools will receive a list of all cross-boundary applicants in early March in the order in which we are to offer placement. We ask that you please DO NOT contact us about the status of your application prior to March 30th. Our goal is to fill all cross-boundary spots AND notify waitlisted families by March 30th at the very latest. If you still have not heard from us by April, then please contact apooley@vsb.bc.ca. 

Our cross-boundary waitlist will remain active until September 30th of the following school year. We ask that families please do not contact us regarding their placement on the waitlist. In order to remain equitable and fair to all families, we keep this information confidential. Once contacted, all families will have 48 hours to accept or decline placement.

LATE CROSS-BOUNDARY APPLICATIONS

Late Cross-Boundary applications will begin on March 1st and applications will be accepted until the second Friday in June. Late applications are NOT be completed online. Please email apooley@vsb.bc.ca for a LATE CROSS-BOUNDARY APPLICATION. Please complete the form and email it back to apooley@vsb.bc.ca or drop it off in the PW Office. Applications will be time and date stamped and kept on file until September 30th of the following school year. 

Late cross-boundary applications will only be reviewed if we exhaust our cross-boundary waitlist and spaces are still available. Please try to apply cross-boundary during the application window to ensure you have the best chance of being accepted.
