Grad Photos
Custodio Photographers is the official photographer for the graduating class of 2025. Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment for taking individual portraits on the studio website as soon as booking is open. Group sessions are booked apart from individual sessions.
Students must have their portrait taken at Custodio Photographers in order for the portrait to be printed in the David Thompson yearbook and on the Grad composite put up in the school hallway.
Students who would like a portrait session for the sole purpose of the yearbook/composite and do not wish to purchase individual portraits will let Custodio photographers know prior to the appointment. A portrait will be taken and picked by Custodio Photographers. A camera fee of $10 will apply. Financial support will be available for students who require assistance. Students will contact their grade counsellor for details.
Reference portraits could be viewed in a video taken of 2022 graduates.
Grad Activities
Every year grade 12 students elect a group of students to serve on the Grad Committee. This committee works under the sponsorship of the Grade 12 counsellor and administrator to organize fun activities during their last year of high school. Examples of events include Grad Movie Nights, Grad Hoodie sales, and the Pan Pacific Dinner Dance. These are known as school sanctioned graduation events since a member of the DT staff works alongside the students to organize and supervise the events/activities.
Grade 12 students also organize events outside of the school that are not sanctioned by the school. These non-sanctioned events include Grad Sunrise, Grad Sunset, and the Winter Formal dance, etc. These can all be fantastic opportunities for the grad class to celebrate and make lasting memories; however, it needs to be reinforced that non-sanctioned events are organized externally and not supervised or supported by David Thompson Secondary or its school staff.
