Volunteers at Gladstone

We are incredibly grateful for individual willingness to volunteer time and talents to support our students. Individual dedication plays a crucial role in enriching their educational experience and fostering a nurturing environment.

At our school and within our district, the safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. To ensure a secure and positive experience for everyone, we have established strict procedures for all volunteers. These measures are designed to verify that everyone working with our students has been deemed safe and trustworthy.

 Important Requirements:

• Criminal Record Check (CRC): All volunteers are required to complete a yearly CRC through our school. Please do not obtain this on your own, as it will incur a financial cost that cannot be reimbursed. When completing your CRC, you will need to bring two pieces of photo ID for verification by site administration. 
• Volunteer Declaration: All volunteers must sign this agreement to ensure they understand and commit to our standards of conduct.

 Additional Requirements for Community Coaches:

• Complete a VSSA coach application.
• Complete a concussion course.
• Complete an NCCP ethical decision-making course.
• Be 19 years of age or older.
• Have a staff sponsor present at events.
