Attendance Questions
I was marked absent for class that I was present for; how do I go about getting my attendance changed?
- Please touch base with the teacher who marked you absent for the class - they are able to go in and change the "absent" to "late", or "present".
My child will be away for an extended period, what is the procedure?
- Please follow the procedure outlined on this page for EXTENDED ABSENCES Attendance (Absences/lates/extended absences) by completing the Extended Absence form.
What is the procedure for signing out during school hours (i.e. student is not feeling well, has an appointment.
- If a student is ill during school hours, they must come to the office to sign out. The office staff will contact their parent/guardian for permission for the student to leave and the student will sign out using the sign out sheet.
What is the procedure for my student who is returning to Gladstone but will be missing the first day(s) of school?
- If a student is expecting to return to school later than noon on Friday of the first week of school, but prior to the last day of September they need to fill out the NOTICE OF LATE RETURN FORM (available in the school office).
*Please note: If the school cannot verify your child's attendance at school by noon on the first Friday of school, your child's space will be given to another student on the school's waitlist.
Fees - How do I pay my outstanding school fees?
- For any school fees of the current school year, you can go to School Cash Online and pay with a credit card or come to the office and pay in cash or with a cheque.
- For any school fees of previous school year(s), you will have to come to the office and pay them either in cash or with a cheque.
