Microsoft TEAMS is the district's official platform for communication and resource sharing. This versatile tool allows teachers, teacher sponsors, counsellors and admin to connect with students, share important resources, and facilitate a collaborative learning environment.

Please note that the use of Microsoft TEAMS varies by teacher, and it may not be integrated into every class at this time. We encourage students to regularly check their TEAMS accounts to stay updated on any communications, resources, or important information from their teachers (for classes), teacher sponsors (for clubs), or counselors and administrators (for grade announcements).

Access

You can access TEAMS via:

1. Downloading the Microsoft TEAMS app
2. Your device's web brower
   • Preferentially use Chrome as your brower (you can access from https://google.com/chrome/
   • If you use Edge, this will work, but it doesn’t work as well as Safari on a Mac
   • Go to https://teams.microsoft.com/
     
     Note: If you are already logged onto Office 365, you may not need to enter a password.
     USER: your student number @learn.vsb.bc.ca (e.g. 1234567@learn.vsb.bc.ca)
     PASSWORD: Please use the same password for all Microsoft365 logins
     
     
   • Once you’ve logged into Teams. Click on the “teams” logo. If on a desktop its on the lefthand side of the screen. If on a personal digital device (PDD), it is at the bottom of the screen. 
     The classes you've been enrolled in will now be shown.

Content

Depending on your class teacher, there is a variety of content that can be found and communicated to students via TEAMS. Some of the following may be things that your teacher has made available to you:

• Class summaries
• Homework
• Assignments
• Resources
• Notes
