Gathering Place Education Centre offers self-paced courses ranging from Foundations courses to Grade 11 and Grade 12.  Please go to our self-paced page for more information on course offerings.

Gathering Place Education Centre is part of the Vancouver School Board’s adult education division. We are located inside the Gathering Place Community Centre at Seymour & Helmcken, on the first floor & up the ramp beside the library. We are open four days per week:

• Monday & Tuesday: 12:30 - 6:00

• Wednesday & Thursday: 11:00 - 4:30

We offer numerous pathways to completing your high school diploma. If you have already graduated from high school, you're welcome to take courses with us to upgrade your marks and improve your academic skills. Our Teacher or Academic Advisor can map those options out for you. 

Our courses are provided in a self-paced format, meaning you can learn at your own speed. You can start a course anytime between September 5, 2023 and April 30th, 2024 and you can complete your courses anytime before June 21st.  There is a teacher and teacher assistant on site to work with you with your studies.

If you would like a more formal, in-class version of a course, we can help direct you to our other site at South Hill (6010 Fraser Street), where they have structured courses starting four times per year, as well as Saturday options.
