Educational and Facilities Planning
The Educational and Facilities Planning department is responsible for planning studies, and facility management strategies as well as advising Senior staff, school based administration, local governments, and school communities on changes that may impact their school or the District as a whole.

Enrolment planning is a key function the VSB uses for a fulsome understanding of the current and future state of student enrolment and school capacity within the District.

Catchment Boundaries
A catchment area is a geographic area around a school that includes all or part of the school district. Catchment boundaries are established to help manage enrolment and capacity utilization, and also consider the interest of student safety.

The VSB maintains ongoing partnerships with municipal and community organizations to better understand impacts of development and land use changes on school communities.
