VSB AI Guidelines for Students
Helping students explore AI with curiosity, responsibility and creativity.
- Use AI to support your learning
AI can help you brainstorm, study and explore ideas. But your voice, effort and creativity matter most. Use AI to grow—not to replace your thinking. - Think critically
AI doesn’t always get it right. Ask questions, check facts and consider different viewpoints. Be a thoughtful user, not a passive consumer. - Respect privacy
Never share personal or identifiable information with AI tools. Stick to District-approved platforms that are safe and secure. - Be honest and clear
If you use AI in your work, say so. Cite the tool and explain how it helped. Always follow your teacher’s rules about when and how AI can be used. - Use approved tools
Only use AI tools that your school or teacher has approved. These tools are chosen to protect your privacy and support your learning. - Stay curious and safe
Explore AI with creativity and care. If something feels confusing or uncomfortable, talk to a trusted adult. You are a part of a community that learns and grows together.
