The District recognizes the immense value of green spaces for our schools, as well as the benefit of these spaces to our school communities. Ensuring our students have safe learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, is our highest priority.

This means a number of our school fields are closed during the summer months. This allows for critical over-seeding and irrigation work to take place to ensure a safe, healthy playfield for Vancouver School Board students for the start of the new school year.
