International Baccalaureate (IB)

The Vancouver School Board's International Baccalaureate is a two-year program (grades 11-12).

The program, which focuses on the enrichment and learning skills necessary for post-secondary success, is open to students with good academic standing and strong reading and verbal skills. 

There is a global outlook to the International Baccalaureate coursework with emphasis on languages, humanities, experimental sciences and math. In recognition of the nature of this program and its enhanced content, extra graduation credits are granted for most International Baccalaureate courses. 

Candidates for the International Baccalaureate diploma are required to become involved in extra-curricular activities and community service.

Sir Winston Churchill Secondary
