Trustee Group

Trustees are members of a corporate board responsible for the improvement of student achievement in the school district. Trustees have a duty to act prudently, honestly and in good faith in the best interests of the Board of Education and the school district. Trustees must abide by the School Act and faithfully perform the duties of the office with care, skill and prudence. 

The Vancouver Board of Education is comprised of nine elected trustees and a student trustee. Trustees are elected every four years at the same time as the mayor and city council for City of Vancouver.
