Windermere Hub
The Windermere Community Schools Team is comprised of our Youth and Family Worker and Community Schools Coordinator. Our team is based at Windermere Secondary in room 209 (WCP room) and room 124 (Oasis Room).
Our Family of Schools consists of Windermere Secondary, Graham Bruce Elementary, Collingwood Neighbourhood School, Sir Wilfred Grenfell Elementary, Nootka Elementary, John Norquay Elementary and Renfrew Elementary.
Windermere students can visit our room to learn about volunteer and leadership opportunities in the school and community and find free snacks for students.
Working with Community Partner organizations, we provide out-of-school-time programs at Windermere Secondary and our feeder elementary schools.
Our programs are engaging, high quality, low barrier, inclusive and social and emotional learning based. Using a tri-mentorship approach, Windermere students volunteer to lead after school programs including cooking, literacy, music lessons, Fastbreak/Moresports, arts and crafts, and more. These programs are offered each term (Fall, Winter, and Spring) for elementary students at their elementary school.
