TECH FOR STUDENTS

Equitable access to technology is vital to allowing all learners to connect with their educators and classmates. Technology not only enables students to stay connected and engaged, it also allows them to develop the digital tools they need to succeed in our technology driven world. Unfortunately, many families do not have the means to purchase the tablets or laptops required to successfully participate in online learning. With your help, more students can learn and benefit from digital tools.

VSB MEAL PROGRAM/FOOD SECURITY

For some students, in addition to being a space where learning to take place, school is the only place they can access to a much-needed meal. VSB meal programs ensure that children receive the nutrition they need to fuel the minds and their bodies. Donations for school meals are critical for ensuring that children have health breakfasts, lunches and snacks during the school day.

VSB ANTI-RACISM INITIATIVES

Across the District, educators continue to develop new ways to embed anti-racism practices into the curriculum. Anti-racism is not a one-time conversation, but requires continual unlearning, learning and collective action. Education resources and professional development opportunities are a key part of the District’s ongoing commitment to eliminating racism and discrimination in all its forms.
