Churchill Synergy Students Raise $2,000 for Jer's Vision by Busking
Students from the Synergy Program at Churchill Secondary celebrated "Acceptance" on Friday, March 1. The event capped off a week of Pink Day themed activities undertaken by Churchill students. Friday's "Buskerfest" featured a large group of students leading a sing-a-long in the school's cafeteria. It was part of a week long busking campaign aimed at raising money for Jer's Vision, a national youth diversity initiative.
During the week, students performed frequently (sometimes as many as 20 performances) and gathered pledges. In the end, the Synergy students raised roughly $2000.
