Loonie Drive Mania Overtakes Gordon Elementary

Kindergartners swamped Gordon's basement during one of the last school days before the holiday season. The students were packed into the lunch room for the annual Loonie Sale (a Gordon tradition) organized by the school's Grade 7 students.

The senior students brought all sorts of books, jewelry toys, games and other fun things and laid them across the lunch tables. Everything was $1 and everything had to get sold!  Throughout the morning Gordon students shuffled among the tables and decided what items they wanted to purchase. Then they took them to the gift wrapping station to get them wrapped up, just in time for Christmas.

All the proceeds of the Loonie Sale went to support the Grade 7 students outdoor camp trip.
