Magee Secondary is Turning 100!
On May 24 from 11 - 3 PM, Magee Secondary will be awash in music, food trucks, performances and historical tours. The school expects hundreds of current students and staff and alumni to turn out for its Centennial birthday party event.
During the celebrations, the school will open its doors to the community and invite alumni to have a look at what 21st century education looks like. There will be a special appearance from Magee Grad Dal Richards, tours, performances from Magee's award winning choir and theatre program, a kids' zone, a student art display, an alumni basketball game and Magee merchandise sale.
Visitors will also get to sample Vancouver's gourmet food trucks - Kaboom Box, Chou Crepes, Japa Dog and Mama Grill Cheese will all be serving up tasty dishes on site - a first for Vancouver schools
At 1 pm the school will host a welcoming ceremony to honor the Magee Community and unveil a legacy gift to the school. At 7 pm the doors will re-open for the Magee Cabaret, featuring the Senior Jazz Band. Details of the upcoming event are below:
