Kitsilano Secondary teacher Trevor Mills thinks we need to start talking about mental health in the classroom and he's doing this using rap and rhyme.

Mills took up the cause after his older brother committed suicide following years of struggling with mental illness.

His work rapping builds on a fundraising campaign he did last year when he released an album where the proceeds went to benefit VGH Mental Health Foundation. Last year's "Evidence of a Struggle" album helped raise $25,000 for local mental health initiatives.

Mills says he doesn't want his students to feel disconnected from the process of speaking out about mental illness.
