Selkirk Grade 1 Students Celebrate Halloween

Two of Selkirk's Grade 1 classes had a day of pumpkin celebrations as a way to join in the Halloween fun. The students of Debbie Muir's and Marilyn Reibin's Grade one classes worked cooperatively to determine pumpkin design.

Meanwhile, some special adults helpers from around the school, including Rita Sandhu (Education Assistant), Kim Whaley (Inner City Neighbourhood Assistant), Josephine Wong (Resource Teacher), Darrell Cavanagh (Principal) and Doug Roch (VP), helped out with the cutting.

"The end product was not just some really neat-looking pumpkins, but a lot of cooperation, conversation, school spirt and a lot of fun," says Doug Roche, Selkirk's Vice Principal.
