The Vancouver School District collaborates with Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCHA) staff and medical health officers to manage communicable diseases efficiently. 

The District’s Communicable Disease Prevention Plan (V12-Jun. 13, 2024) aligns with the latest Ministry of Education and Child Care and BC Centre for Disease Control guidelines. These include:

• Public Health Communicable Disease Guidance for K-12 Schools (Aug 25, 2022)
