On Monday, December 16, Eastside Alternative Program invited Grade 1 and 2 students from AR Lord Elementary down to their school to make gingerbread houses. 

The little kids buddied up with an Eastside student and together, they built their own holiday gingerbread houses. Eastside teacher Amanda Cantelon said the operation was a delicate one. 

"Making a gingerbread house is a delicate operation which requires skill, patience and self-control (to not eat all the candies)," she said. "There was lots of concentration, creativity and laughs as they worked together on their masterpieces."
